Richard I. Bong Museum Exhibit Design
Art meets exhibit.
There’s an art-to-museum exhibit design that needs to convey a lot of information but also look cohesive with the rest of the place. The Richard I. Bong Museum honors the history of its namesake and fellow U.S. veterans. A new exhibit was in the works, but it needed a designer’s touch. We called up the troops.
We took their 16-foot canvas of a wall and made the new exhibit pop. The color palette drew from the trendy colors of the 1940s, and pilot patches inspired elements of the design. The result was an exhibit that properly honored those who inspired it.
