How Crazy Is the Potential of ChatGPT? Let’s Just Say Our Copywriter Might be Out of a Job

In recent years, the development of artificial intelligence (AI) has opened up a world of possibilities, including the potential of chatbots that are able to generate text in a human-like manner. One such technology is ChatGPT, a state-of-the-art natural language generation (NLG) model that has been developed by OpenAI. ChatGPT is capable of generating text that can pass as human-generated, making it an exciting tool for a range of applications.

One of the most promising applications of ChatGPT is in customer service. ChatGPT can be used to automate customer service conversations, reducing the strain on customer service teams and allowing them to focus on more complex tasks. ChatGPT can be used to provide answers to frequently asked questions, as well as to generate more personalized responses to customer inquiries.

ChatGPT can also be used to generate content for websites, blogs, and other online platforms. Instead of relying on copywriters or content creators to generate new content, ChatGPT can be used to generate new content on demand. This can be used to keep websites and other online platforms up-to-date with fresh content, without the need for manual input.

Finally, ChatGPT can also be used to generate creative works of fiction. By providing a few prompts, ChatGPT can generate stories, poems, and other works of fiction in a fraction of the time it would take a human writer. This could be a boon for writers, publishers, and other content creators, who could use ChatGPT to quickly generate new ideas and stories.

Overall, ChatGPT is an exciting technology with a great deal of potential. Its ability to generate human-like text makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from customer service to content creation and beyond. As AI continues to develop, ChatGPT’s potential is likely to increase, making it an even more valuable tool for businesses and content creators alike.

Hold up. You’ve been tricked. This whole blog post was written by ChatGPT using the “Playground” tool.

I simply typed in: “Write a blog post about the potential of ChatGPT” and this 5 paragraph blog post appeared almost instantly.

As a copywriter, that’s terrifying.

Am I going to be out of a job soon? (Might be time to bring in some donuts to the office.) AI doesn’t need health insurance or vacation time. How do I stack up?

Let’s find out.

I asked the tool to write a song about immunizing kids (something I’ve recently had to do for work.) Here’s what it came up with:

Verse 1:
The doctor said it’s time to get immunized

A shot today, some shots in the future

It’s the only way to stay protected

From all the germs that make us sick

Chorus: It’s a shot that’s sure to save the day

We’ll stay healthy if we get immunized

If we don’t get the shots we need

We’ll be vulnerable to disease

Verse 2:
We have to get vaccinated for measles, mumps, and rubella

We must protect our bodies from the flu and whooping cough

A little pinch is all it takes to make sure we stay strong

And fight against the illnesses that can make us ill

Chorus:
It’s a shot that’s sure to save the day

We’ll stay healthy if we get immunized

If we don’t get the shots we need

We’ll be vulnerable to disease

Bridge:
We have to take preventative care

Keep our bodies safe and sound

And when we get our vaccines

We’ll stay healthy all around

Chorus:
It’s a shot that’s sure to save the day

We’ll stay healthy if we get immunized

If we don’t get the shots we need

We’ll be vulnerable to disease

It’s not bad for AI songwriting but I’ll freely admit I think my human-created solution to this task is way more catchy. (You’ll be able to hear it soon! Keep an eye out on our social channels).

While I still think my version is better, it’s such a cool way to kick off the creative process. I can go in there and play around with the lyrics and make them my own. I can make a thousand different versions of the song and see what sticks.

It’s a Tool, Not a Threat
AI is coming for us whether we like it or not, so I’m choosing to embrace it as a tool, not a competitor. Yes, ChatGPT can write a very logical paper about a certain surgery but it can’t interview the surgeon and find out what makes them tick. There is so much interpersonal communication and relationship building that goes into being a creative and a writer. I’m excited to see how it fuels ideas and helps me help clients.

This AI will only bolster my creativity and expand my writing possibilities. This tool isn’t just for writing either, it holds loads of potential for many other skill sets. Go explore it.

In conclusion, my very unsciency opinion is that AI like this will become an asset to every writer in the field. P.S. I just made up the word “unsciency” because I’m a human who can break rules and not a machine. Heckkkkkkkk yeahhhhh!
