As we leap into the excitement of a leap year, we at Creative Arcade are buzzing with anticipation for the extra 24 hours gifted to us. We’re not just letting this day slip by – oh no! We’re seizing it with our eyes wide open, squeezing out every drop of fun. And what better way to celebrate than by exploring the beauty and charm of our beloved Duluth, Minnesota?
So, what’s the plan for this rare bonus day? Are you seizing the opportunity for an extra adventure, or perhaps you’re itching to dive into a new marketing opportunity with us? Whatever you’re thinking, we’re here to make it happen. Here are some of our favorite ways to spend the day in Duluth to inspire your itinerary for February 29th.
Wake up with a cup of joe.
Duluth is overflowing with cozy, local coffee joints, each with its own vibe to kickstart your extra 24 hours. There’s a brew for every taste bud. Some of our favorites are 190° Coffee and Tea, Duluth Coffee Company, and Perk Place Coffeehouse.
Sunrise at Enger Tower
Perched atop Enger Hill, this iconic tower offers panoramic views of the city and Lake Superior. Climb to the top for an awe-inspiring vista that will take your breath away. Don’t forget your camera!
Aerial Lift Bridge Views
A symbol of Duluth’s maritime heritage, the Aerial Lift Bridge is a sight to behold. Admire the structure up close by walking along the pathways on both sides of the bridge, or stroll along the nearby Canal Park for a front-row seat to the action. Since you’re in the neighborhood, swing by our office – we’d love to say hi!
Hike at Park Point
Just a quick jaunt across the Aerial Lift Bridge, and you’ll reach Park Point. At the very end of Duluth, Minnesota’s point, is a transcendent nature trail looping about 5.2 miles out and back. Trek through towering forests and breathe in the fresh Lake Superior air.
Visit the Great Lakes Aquarium
Home to North America’s largest sturgeon touch pool, the Aquarium features animals and habitats found within the Great Lakes Basin as well as animals from other freshwater ecosystems such as the Amazon River. It’s a splash-tastic experience for all ages!
Evening stroll on the Duluth Lakewalk
If you are looking to get your steps in, take a stroll along the Duluth Lakewalk. Spanning almost 8 miles, this paved trail glides along the beautiful shores of Lake Superior, with breathtaking views of the city and the north shore. No visit to Duluth is complete without spending some time by the shores of Lake Superior.
Eat at a Local Spot
After a day of exploring, refuel at one of Duluth’s fantastic eateries. Whether you’re craving hearty comfort food or something more exotic, Duluth has no shortage of delicious dining options to satisfy every palate. Check out a few of our favorites: Sir Benedict’s Tavern on the Lake, Tavern on the Hill, and Corktown Deli and Brews.
These are just a few ideas to get you started, but the possibilities are endless! Whatever you choose to do with your extra day, make sure it’s filled with joy, adventure, and memories to last a lifetime.
Happy leaping,
The Creative Arcade Team
